The 2023 Hai Phong Red Phoenix Flower Festival

Recently, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City issued a plan for organizing the 2023 Hai Phong Red Phoenix Flower Festival.

This year's festival will take place from May 12-14, 2023, with the theme "Hai Phong – Shining Bright at the Seaport." The main events will be held at the City Theater Square and the central area of the city, with additional welcoming and supporting programs organized across the city.

Among them, the "Hai Phong – Shining Bright at the Seaport" Gala Night program will celebrate the 68th anniversary of Hai Phong's Liberation Day and will be held on the evening of May 13, 2023 (Saturday). The program is expected to be broadcast live on VTV1, Vietnam Television, with simultaneous broadcast by Hai Phong Radio and Television and a number of other provincial and municipal stations. Fireworks will be launched before, during, and after the Gala to complement the event's content.

The artistic program of the Gala Night "Hai Phong – Shining Bright at the Seaport" is tied to major events in 2023 for the country and the city, affirming that in recent years, Hai Phong has effectively leveraged its potential and advantages, becoming a bright spot nationwide in economic, social, and cultural development. The city's economic growth rate has maintained a double-digit pace for seven consecutive years (since 2015), placing it among the top localities with the highest growth rates. Cultural and artistic activities are vibrant and of high quality, meeting the spiritual needs of the people, and are highly regarded by experts and the public nationwide for contributing to the development of culture, while fulfilling the role of a catalyst, inspiring unity, and strengthening national pride. Social, national defense, and political security have been maintained, ensuring the conditions necessary for proactive and comprehensive international integration, which serves development and enhances Hai Phong’s reputation on the international stage, making a significant contribution to the country’s achievements.

Hai Phong has become the choice for many large domestic and international corporations, an attractive, safe, and friendly destination that draws millions of tourists from both domestic and international markets. The vibrant artistic program will feature many creative and impressive highlights, with performances by art troupes and artists from both inside and outside the city, promising to attract large numbers of citizens and visitors.

During this time, city leaders will hold ceremonies to honor the fallen heroes at the City Martyrs' Monument and commemorate comrade Nguyễn Đức Cảnh at the Nguyễn Đức Cảnh Monument – Việt Tiệp Friendship Labor Culture Palace. Across the city, various activities will be held to promote, market, and introduce cultural, sports, and tourism products, along with the groundbreaking and inauguration of several important projects and works in celebration of the 2023 Hai Phong Red Phoenix Flower Festival.
