Ha Noi - Hai Phong Train route on the tourism spotlight

It is expected that number of passengers travelling on the Ha Noi - Hai Phong train route will reach 1.4 million arrivals in 2023, equal to 150% of the time before the COVID-19 pandemic (2019).

Pick up and drop off at Ha Noi railway station on all days of the week

In order to provide favourable conditions for passengers on the Ha Noi - Hai Phong train route, from 13th July 2023, Vietnam National Railways will organise pairs of trains LP2/3, LP6/5 to depart and arrive at Ha Noi station on all days of the week. On the journey, these trains still pick up and drop off passengers at Long Bien station.

From Ha Noi station, LP3 train departs at 9:20 am, transits at Long Bien station at 9:27 am, departs at Long Bien station at 9:30 am; LP5 train departs at 15:15 pm, transits at Long Bien station at 15:23 pm, departs at Long Bien station at 15:26 pm.

From Hai Phong, LP2 train transits at Long Bien station at 8:38 am, departs at Long Bien station at 8:41 am, arrives at Ha Noi station at 8:49 am; LP6 train transits at Long Bien station at 11:41 am, departs at Long Bien station at 11:44 am, arrives at Ha Noi station at 11:52 am.

The trains receive luggage and motorbikes at stations with stops, convenient for passengers to bring their means of transport to experience food tours and other places.

Ticket price ranges from 85,000 VND to 135,000 VND/ticket/trip.

Railways apply the policy of buying group tickets. Accordingly, when buying train tickets running every Monday to Thursday, passengers buying for a group of 8 people only need to pay for 6 tickets and get 2 tickets for free; buy for groups of 4, just pay for 3 tickets.

The Ha Noi - Hai Phong railway route is attracting a large number of people travelling by train to experience food tours in Hai Phong. Hai Phong Railway Transport Branch said that in the first 5 months of 2023, this route transported more than 554,000 passengers, an increase of 190% over the same period in 2022 and a growth of 142% over the same period in 2019.
