Hai Phong Tourism Association Successfully Holds Golden Chef Competition 2024

On the afternoon of May 9, the Golden Chef Hai Phong 2024 competition was held at Hai Dang Event Center. This event was part of the practical activities in response to the Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Festival 2024, organized by the Hai Phong Tourism Association.

The competition attracted 17 teams from top tourism establishments in Hai Phong and other localities. The competition featured 17 teams representing hotels and restaurants in Hai Phong, along with teams from other regions nominated by their respective Tourism Associations. The competition was held in one round, where teams performed their dishes, and scores were used to rank them. This year, the 17 teams presented 68 "premium" dishes for the contest.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the Special Golden Chef Prize to Dream Dragon Resort Hotel in Do Son, along with six first prizes and ten gold prizes.

Mr. Mai Xuan Thang, President of the Hai Phong Tourism Association, shared: "The Golden Chef 2024 competition continues the tradition of the expanded Golden Chef Hai Phong competition, which has been held in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2023. The event contributes to promoting training and development in the culinary profession, recognizing talented and professional chefs.

This is an opportunity to discover and introduce delicious dishes and specialties from Hai Phong and participating regions, promote regional cuisines, and affirm the culinary position of Hai Phong. The competition also creates an environment for chefs to exchange and share experiences, while celebrating the Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Festival 2024."
